Trying to get through a metal documentary (which is actually way decent at times) but so fucking help me if I hear one more dude explain that metal is about refusing to conform to society and rejecting its accepted norms…only to be way down with embracing some pretty mainstream attitudes in the areas of racism, homophobia, and misogyny. Way to prop up the status quo with your devil horns....
