When I baked all those fucking cookies to give out, I imagined graciously handing them over while deflecting questions about where I bought such lovely things with assurances that no, they were baked completely from scratch! And then there would be some fawning and basking. Modest basking.
Instead it’s been more me awkwardly pushing cling-wrapped plates at people while laughing nervously...

Already planning to make this light and these shelves…in my imagination, where those things happen, not in the real world where IN 3 MONTHS I’ve only managed to mess with the bathroom. Off to a great start!
Last night was the first night in the new place. It was also the first night I got to enjoy hearing a car horn deployed for 15+ minutes I am not even kidding, god, I wish I was kidding as well as a leaf-blower doing its thing in the parking lot next door. 3am and 7am.
This morning I found a dead mystery bug in the kitchen sink, and a few minutes later the shower curtain rod fell on my head.
